I’m very happy to share some of my most used items this month.
Currently for stationary and planning I am using…
A really cute ban.do planner. It’s hard to see the way I edited it but it says on the cover: “I AM VERY BUSY”. I started using this awesome planner in August and it was a really good investment. It has some super cute stickers that come with it, and overall the planner has a great structure and overall look.
Also, other things I’ve been enjoying are the Staedtler 0.3 mm Fineliner Pens. They are probably my favorite pens and I use them for my colouring books and journals. They’re more of a finetip marker consistency so if you’re not into that, you might not like them. But they dry quickly on paper, don’t smear, and don’t dry out.
My second favorite are these great Fine Tip Pentel R.S.V.P. Pens. I’d recommend them. They do blot sometimes, but they create great lines, and I use them for notetaking and I love them. Lots and lots.
Currently for Food I am…
Really enjoying the “Calbee: Harvest Snaps: Snapea Crisps. Low Salt: Original.” I try to stay away from chips sometimes, but these are a bit more healthy and I find that they are a fabulous substitute.
Stylewise I am sporting a lot of…
These awesome boots (seen in picture above)! Honestly, what brand they are or where they’re from? I don’t know. I bought them used in practically new condition over a year ago. They are a more mustard colour and I have had a hard time trying to figure out what to wear with them. Well. After some staring I started to figure out what to pair them with! They have quickly become some of my favorite and most used footwear!
Also, to go along with these boots and going along with the winter season is a grey pom-pom toque. It’s very soft and made of a great chunky yarn. The best part is I found it at Dollarama! For $2. Talk about a steal!
My favorite bag this month is this purple Calvin Klein bag. Great ombre purple colour. I got it as a gift last year and I still haven’t stopped loving it!
For Christmas I received this rosegold heart-key necklace with (faux) diamonds. I received it as a Christmas present from my parents and I love it dearly.
Currently for Make-up and Skin I have been using…
All Mary Kay. (And I promise this is not sponsored!) I have super sensitive skin so unfortunately for me most make-up causes me an epic skin reaction. It is absolutely terrible. But Mary-Kay is one of the few make-up and skin products that allow me to breathe easy.
I am using ‘Mary Kay: Botanical Effects’ for my skincare, the cleanser and the face cream. This product is free from alchohol, fragrance, and dyes. Or at least this one is. Helps sooo much!
Before discovering Mary Kay I have never ever been able to utilize a CC Cream or Foundation on a semi-regular basis. That’s changed now. I use the Mary Kay Complexion Corrector Cream with Sunscreen SPF 15. I use the colour Medium to Deep in case you were wondering.
Lastly, I’ve been enjoying a Mary Kay lipcolour in ‘Sparkling Rose’. It’s a sheer colour, and it’s moistorizing too, so sometimes I just use it as lip balm.
All three of these books were Christmas presents! Let’s just start with these beautiful vintage books! The first one was from my best friend Carlee. She gave me this wonderful book which are “Selections from John Milton’s Poems.’ I really hope you all know John Milton, but if you don’t he was a poet born in the 1600’s. He is most well known for his work: ‘Paradise Lost’ which this book does feature! My favorite part about this book besides the fabulous writing is that my friend found it used and it has writing and notes in it from past readers, which I find incredibly cool! (Plus, it was published in the late 1800’s which I think is pretty neat.)
Second book! One of my other best friends bought it for me as a Christmas Present. (Can you see that I really like old books?) It is The Works of Tennyson and was printed in 1902. I personally love Tennyson and this book has easily become one of my favorite things. Tennyson is formally known as ‘Alfred, Lord Tennyson’ and was Poet Laureate of Great Britain and Ireland during a good majority of Queen Victoria’s reign. I recommend reading some of his works if you haven’t already…you’re missing out!
Thirdly, and finally, the most recently published book! – Talking as Fast as I Can, by Lauren Graham. Lauren Graham is an actress, you may know her from Gilmore Girls or Parenthood. She has been one of my favorite actress’s since my obsession with Gilmore Girls began when I was 12 or 13 years old. This book is fun, and full of wit. A great read which follows Lauren’s life in acting, and tells us what being on Gilmore Girls was like.
Currently have been listening to a lot of ‘The 1975’ (the band. Not the era!) and classical music. Weird mix. I honestly don’t think have to validate why I love either. But I do. Some of the 1975’s music is as bit to…uh…explicit for me? But some of there music I really do appreciate.
I am going to save you from an essay on why I love classical music, and which classical music I have been listening too, because that is another blog post for another time.
Prayers and Music!!
